Shirley Katherine Gass-Hasty, 85 died Thursday, August 2, 2018 at her home.  Shirley was born on June 24, 1933 in Whitley Co. IN to the late Clyde and Esther (Clark) Schey.  Over the years she worked as an accountant for North American Van Lines, Peoples Trust and then retired from Pizza Hut corporate office.

Surviving are her children, Bradley (Marianne) Gass, Yvonne Gerbers, Barbara Porter, Vicky (Rick Bell) Graham, Mary Lou (Blaine) Bennett, her brothers Stanley Schey, Roger Schey, step-children Cathy (Al Miller) Hadaller, Ann (Steve) Pownall, Brenda (Sam) Hamilton, Melany (Rick) Weikel, 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.  Shirley was preceded in death by her husbands, Arthur Gass in 1984 and Phillip E. Hasty in 2016, and her brother Daniel Schey.

A celebration of life service will be held from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. Sunday August 26, 2018 at Covington Memorial Community Building 8408 Covington Rd.  Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations can be given to Hope for Animals or Visiting Nurse and Hospice.
