Shirley Woods, 80, of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away peacefully on March 11. 2025. She was born in Fort Wayne on January 28, 1945, to the late Daisy Wilson. She had two sisters, Lillian Harris and Catherine Wilson and was married to the late Roer Woods Sr.

Shirley worked at General Electric (GE) and Dana Corp for many years before her retirement. She was a dedicated and hardworking individual who made lasting contributions to those she worked with. After retiring, she enjoyed going to casinos, watching her old TV favorites, reading her bible lessons and finally finding peace and quiet at her home.

She is survived by her son, Roger Woods II; and grandson, Christopher King and many cousins and friends.

A service to honor Shirley's life will take place at a later. She will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens in Fort Wayne, IN.

Shirley's memories will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She was a lady that felt pain when someone else felt pain, a person who loved all and wanted all to be happy in life.
