Stanley J. Prezbindowski, 89, of Roanoke, died Saturday, June 25, 2011 at Coventry Meadows with his wife at his side. Born here in Allen County, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Sidelko)Prezbindowski. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Roanoke. He was the Trustee for the Layfette Township for 23 years, a life long farmer and an avid outdoorsman. He served his country in the Air Force during WWII.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Helen L. Prezbindowski; sons, Steven (Phyllis), John (Norma) and Richard (Vicki) all of Roanoke; daughters, Carol (Ken) Hover of West Chester, Ohio and Eileen Prezbindowski of Fort Wayne; nine grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, John, Joe, Frank, Walter and August; and three sisters, Mary Himelfarb, Louise Rousseff and Helen Rahrer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 641 N. Main St., Roanoke, with calling one hour prior. Calling also 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with a vigil service at 7:30 p.m. Fr. Kenneth Sarrazine officiating. He will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens.
