Stella Freed, 86, went home to Jesus Saturday, May 9, 2015. She was a stenographer for an Allen County Judge until he retired then she went to Magnavox Corp and worked as an assembler. Stella worshipped at Progressive Baptist Church and Greater Mount Ararat Church.

She is survived by her children, Arnetta Barnett, Rosetta McBride, Cynthia (Larry Julian) Barnett, 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Andrew Freed and her first husband Eugene J. Barnett, son Robert Eugene Barnett, 2 grandchildren, Terry and Andra ne and 1 great-grandson, Gabrielle.

Funeral Service is 1 p.m., Friday, May 15, 2015 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling two hours prior. There will also be calling 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Thursday, May 14, 2015 at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens. Preferred memorial''s are to Alzheimer''s Assoc. or American Cancer Society.
