Stephen Joseph Haydock, 83, passed peacefully Monday, May 14, 2018. Born in Detroit, Michigan, to Martin and Mary Haydock.  He proudly served his country in the Army.  He retired from Dana after 37 years of service as a mechanical engineer. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and was a Forth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Stephen was a family man a devoted husband, kind and loving father and grandfather.  In addition to serving the church and Knights of Columbus he loved to travel, fish, golf and was a member of the Flying Circuits RC Club.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Elaine J. (Sugden) Haydock; sons, John (Teresa) Haydock and Paul (Sandra) Haydock; daughters, Kathleen (Alan) Parr and Lara (Craig) Fairchild; 15 grandchildren, Peter, Mark (Brittney), Matthias, Lydia, James, Eleanor, Josephine and Margaret Haydock, Michael , Sean (Kirsten), Alyssa and Aaron Parr, Ian, Martin and Rose Fairchild; and one great grandson on the way, Elias.

Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 18, 2018 at St John the Baptist Catholic Church, 943 Powers St, New Haven, with calling one hour prior.  Fr. William Sullivan officiating.  Calling is 2-8 p.m., Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 Indiana Hwy 930 East, New Haven.  He will be laid to rest at St John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery.    Preferred memorials to Knights of Columbus, Council 12741, 943 Powers Street, New Haven, Indiana 46774.
