Stephen Paul Walker, 78, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at home in Fort Wayne, IN. Born in Fort Wayne, IN, Stephen was a son to the late Marvin L. and Geraldine M. (Roebel) Walker. He was a 1964 graduate of North Side High School and served honorably in the United States Navy. Stephen married Deborah K. Walker on February 14, 1978 and she preceded him in death on December 15, 2003. Stephen worked as a Train Engineer for 35 years, until his retirement. He enjoyed Broadway shows, musicals and classic cars. Surviving are his daughter, Carrie (Allan George) Widmeyer; son, Keith Walker; brother, Lawrence Walker; grandchildren, Destiny Walker, Taylor (Gavin) Conner, Madison (Jackob) Bowers, Daphney Walker, Skylar Widmeyer, Alexander Widmeyer, Brantley Walker and Logan Walker; and great-grandchildren, Akirya, Abel, and Emma. Stephen was also preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Walker. Memorial service 1:00pm, Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home with memorial visitation from 11:00am to 1:00pm prior to the service.
