Steve W. Arnett, 69, died July 1, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born July 25, 1944 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Eugene R. and Gertrude L. (Foster) Arnett. Steve worked as a welder for Norfolk & Southern 33 plus years. He was a life time member of VFW Jim Eby Post #857. His passion was bowling and was active in the Keglars League 40 plus years, coach of Youth League 40 plus years and Bowled in 30 USBC National Tournaments.

Surviving are his children, Eric (Alice) Ohmart, Scot Ohmart, Troy (Patty) Arnett, siblings Anna (Terry) Chroninger, Betty Keller, Deb (Steve) Mudrack, Mike (Bonnie) Arnett, Dave (Deb) Arnett, 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Joyce Arnett on July 28, 2011, 2 brothers, 1 sister and a grandson.

Service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday July 6, 2014 with calling from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Pastor Carl Esque will officiate. There will also be calling Saturday July 5, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Military honors will be presented by VFW Post 857 and the United States Navy.
