Steve Hardmon, 78, passed away on October 17, 2024. He was born in Van Wert, Ohio on December 19, 1945, a son of the late Kish and Leanah Hardmon.

He was an avid bowler, having participated in many tournaments and yearly participated in the Postal Tournament. In his younger years he was a minor league baseball player. He enjoyed spending his spare time watching old westerns and spending time with family and friends.

Steve will be remembered for being an animal lover and a lover of life.

He is survived by his life partner of 11 years, Rose Phillips; children, Greg Hardmon and Cheri Hardmon; stepchildren, Brandy Phillips, Clifton (Sarah) Phillips, Kim (John) Woodward; grandchildren, Ali, Bre, MaKynna, Adriyanna, Nora, Ashlynn, Keegan, Kyerra, Chanelle, and Blythe; great-grandchildren, Ripp, Ryatt, Avery, Penelope, Gracie, Genesis, Urijah, Bentley, Adrianna, Wyatt, Carter, and Octavia; and brother, John Hardmon.

He was preceded in death by a son, Kim Hardmon.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 24. 2024 with calling one hour prior at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Rd., Ft. Wayne, IN 46804.
