Steven Poyser, 74, ended his battle with cancer on December 23, 2024 surrounded by his family. He was born in Kendallville, IN on September 30, 1950, a son of the late Forrest and Thelma Poyser.

He worked for Seyferts Potato Chips, Eckrich Meats, Magic's Potato Chips, Parkview Hospital as a shuttle bus driver and Harlan Cabinets.

In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, watching old westerns, walking his dogs and listening to music.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Betty Poyser; stepdaughter, Cathy Adams; stepson John (Debbie) Adams; grandchildren, Jason, Dawn, Johnny, Justin, Mark; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Arieanna, Lincoln, Mark, Nick, Chris and Kala; sister, Linda (Roger) Downey. He also leaves behind nieces and nephews to cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by siblings, Dennis Poyser and Sandra Poyser.

A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, with visitation from 11 am to 1 pm at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Rd., Ft. Wayne, IN 46804.
