Terry Lee Bonar, 75, of Fort Wayne, flew on the wings of a dove home to Jesus on Friday, February 11, surrounded by his family.  He was born December 4, 1946 in Fort Wayne to the late Alvie and Barbara (Luminhouser) Bonar.

Terry worked for the railroad as a brakeman for many years, then went on to work at a foundry until his retirement.  He married his love, Melodie (Pepple) on June 21, 1964 and together they raised two children.  In his spare time, you could often find Terry riding a motorcycle, sometimes winning awards at bike shows, or tooling around in a classic car.  He and Melodie are members of Emmanuel Lutheran Church.  He worked hard to care for his family, whom he loved dearly.  Terry will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Terry will be forever remembered by his wife, Melodie; children, Brian Bonar, and Robin (Danny) Jackson; eight grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; siblings, Richard Bowlin, Ray Bonar, Allen (Susan) Bonar, Denise (Rex) Love, Darlene Butler, Carola Petty, Linda Kinley, Freda (Dale) Parker, and Sue Miller; step mother, Grace Bonar; many, many nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Bella.

In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in passing by a grandchild.

Family will receive friends Friday, February 18 from 2:00pm - 4:00pm at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, with service to follow at 4:00pm, officiated by Pastor Dan Sheafer.
