Thelma Lucile Heiser, 95, went to be with her Lord Friday, January 10, 2014. She was born May 6, 1918 in Ohio County, KY to the late Morton and Rosa (Veller) McDowell. Thelma attended Home Worship. On June 15, 1949 she married Kenneth Heiser. He preceded her in death on September 4, 2006.

Surviving are her sons, Daryl (Joetta) Heiser Churubusco, IN, Darwin (Brenda) Heiser Mesa, AZ, 5 grandchildren, Shane, Sharla Heiser, Erin Swain, Lindsay Hartman, Megan Rhode, 11 great-grandchildren, Lora, Haley, Tristan Heiser, Isaiah, Logan, Chandler, Aubrie Swain, Eliza, Emily Hartman, Aevyn, Linley Rhode along with a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death along with her husband, siblings, Paul, Joe, Porter, Tom Virginia, Hattie, and Kenny.

Service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday January 16, 2014 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with calling one hour prior to service. There is also calling Wednesday, January 15, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens. Preferred Memorials are to Heartland Hospice.
