Thelma Randolph, 88, walked into the loving arms of our Lord Sunday, January 5, 2020.  Born on November 26, 1931, to Leo and Ruth (DeWitt) Porter, Thelma had an entrepreneurial spirit and a zest for life, but most of all, love for her family is her legacy.  She began her professional career as an assistant manager at King's department store and after 20 years of service she retired and opened her own business in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  After much adventure and travel, she became a caretaker for her mother and aunt, each of whom lived to be more than 100 years old.  She will be remembered for her strength and wit and for showing those who knew her best how to live well and overcome adversity.

Thelma is survived by her husband of 43 years, Randy; and was a devoted mother to her children, son, Terry (Jan) Biddle; and daughters, Kay Lynn (Kevin) Klopfenstein and Rose (Bob) Hunt.

Thelma was a loving and supportive grandmother to her grandchildren, Heather (Trey) Cowen, Misty (Rex) Todd, Chris Fanning, Katie Biddle, Amy Biddle, Michelle Guise, Katherine Kite, Victoria (Andrew) Henry and Matthew (Lydia) Hunt, including several great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.

Thelma was preceded in death by her father; mother; first husband, Glenn Biddle; and an infant daughter, Katherine.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 10, 2020 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Rd, with calling two hours prior.  Officiating will be Pastor Chris McPhearson.  She will be entombed at Covington Memorial Gardens.  Preferred memorials are to the family, C/O Heather Cowen.
