Thomas "Tom" Ryan, 72, of New Haven, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at The Waters of Fort Wayne after many years of living with dementia. Born on September 9, 1953, in Fort Wayne, he was the son of Jack and Sharon (Vivian) Ryan. Tom married the love of his life, Annmarie Filosa, on September 7, 2008.

Tom was known for his wonderful sense of humor and his gift for making others laugh. He lived life fully and cherished the time he spent with his brothers. Family was at the heart of everything he did—he adored his wife, children, and grandchildren. Loved by many children, he was fondly called "the kid whisperer" by his family. Tom was hardworking, always kept busy, and enjoyed fixing and playing guitars, shopping with his wife, and cheering on the Fighting Irish, Chicago Cubs, and Chicago Bears.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Annmarie; his children Mindy (Luis) Aguilo, Aaron Ryan, and Stacey (Chad) Alexander; his stepson Chad (Lindsay) Smith; 11 grandchildren; his sister Joyce (Vance) Kyle; and his brothers Herb, Jeffrey (Tina), and Jerry (Norma) Ryan. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, with a service to follow at 4:00 p.m. Burial will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 24, 2025, at Covington Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
