It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected, peaceful passing of Tim Oberkiser, 61, on Tuesday, December 31, 2019.

Tim was born Jan 22, 1958, in Fort Wayne and graduated from Elmhurst High School with a love for football.  Tim was an extremely hard worker and spent most of his working years at Tokheim.

Tim was incredibly generous with his time and spent most of it doing things for others.  He was a devoted family man who loved to fish, golf and play poker.  Tim leaves behind a legacy of hard work, loyalty and love.

Tim is survived by 5 children, Eva, Ryan, Kandyce, Kyle and Avorie (Quincy); 8 grandchildren, Davonte, Jocelyn, Findley, Hudsyn, Maverick, Leighton, Elius and Ila; his mother, Loann (Hoeppner) Oberkiser; and sister, Trudy (Jack) Brunkhart.

Tim was preceded in death by father, Phil Oberkiser, in 2008; wife, Patty.

Family and friends are invited to attend Tim's funeral Service at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling two hours prior.  He will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens.  Preferred memorials are to the family c/o Avorie.
