Treva Lavone McVoy, 97, Fort Myers, went home to be with our Heavenly Father, June 29, 2014. She was born July 31, 1916 in Auburn, Indiana to the late Erwin Hess and Marie Funk. She graduated from Fort Wayne IBC and then married the late Darol "Mac" McVoy in 1937. They started their family in New Haven until 1970 and then moved to Fort Myers, where Treva worked as an assistant teacher at Vo-Tech for 8 years. She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in East Fort Myers.

She will be missed, her pretty smile and the kindness she showed others. She enjoyed her family and friends.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Beverly McVoy and Joseph (Joyce) McVoy both of Fort Myers; she was blessed with six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great- great-grandsons; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Darol; son, Larry McVoy; sister, Helen Bowmar; brother and sister in law, Carl and Wilma Hess.

Service is 1:00 p.m. Friday July 4, 2014 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with calling from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Entombment will be in Covington Memorial Gardens. Preferred memorials are to Hope Hospice at www.hopehcs.org
