Velma I. Clausen, 87, died Tuesday August 23, 2011 at Lutheran Hospital. Born June 3, 1924 in Ft. Wayne, IN to the late William and Frances Moore, Velma was a homemaker. She was Past President of the American Legion Post #241 Ladies Auxiliary. Surviving are children, Karen Dimke, Ft. Wayne, IN, Darlene (Jerry) Wright, Greensburg, IN, Mike (Theresa) Clausen, South Whitley, IN, brothers and sisters, Viola McKee, Ft. Wayne, IN, Russell Moore, North Webster,IN, Jerry Moore, Ft. Wayne, IN, Janice Ianucilli, Ft. Wayne, IN, Bill Moore, Butler, IN, six grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald Clausen in 1991, two brothers and three sisters. Services are 11:00 a.m. Friday at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with calling 1 hour prior to service. There is also calling 4-8 Thursday at the funeral home. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Preferred Memorials to V.A. Hospital.
