Velma I. Houser, 86, of Fort Wayne, died Sunday September 17, 2006 at Hospice Home. She was a former employee at General Electric and also a homemaker. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was involved with the prayer chain and a member of American Legion post #499. She is survived by a son, Kent Houser of Fort Wayne; daughter, Kathy (Gary) Peisert of Fort Wayne; sister, Norma Wyckoff of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Christopher (Nicole) Houser and Kevin (Ryan) Houser and a great grand daughter Emma Houser. She was preceded in death by her husband, Duane Houser. Services Wednesday 1 p.m. with visitation one hour prior at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. Visitation also 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church or Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home.
