Vera Marie MacArthur, 91, passed away Friday, June 8, 2018.  She was born on January 7, 1927 in Scott City, Kansas to the late Walter and Gladys (Lehman) Wood.  Vera worked for 10 years as a stocker and greeter at WalMart in Manhattan, Kansas

Surviving are her children, David (Sandy) Self, James (Rena) Self, Naomi (Glen) Lindahl, Rebecca (Gary) Buhler, Marty (Alan) McElheney, 15 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.

Vera was preceded in death by her husband, Chester MacArthur; and their children's father, Robert R. Self; two daughters, Miriam Self and Sarah Self; along with two sisters, Emogene Harp and Alta May Yardley.

Memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Rd., with calling from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.  There is a memorial service pending for August 30, 2018 at the Agape Family Church 1125 Westport Drive lower level, Manhattan, KS 66502
