Verlin A. Beck, 94, passed Thursday, March 5, 2020.   Born in Fort Wayne, he was a son of the late John E. Beck and Effie (Woods) Beck.  He graduated Ossian High School and then proudly served his country in the Air Force.  Verlin was a pressman and repairman at Smurfit for 40 plus years.

Verlin is survived by daughter, Joyce Beck; and two grandchildren, Taylor Beck and Madelyn Beck; daughter in law, Lora.

Verlin was preceded in death by wife of 58 years, Matilda Angela Loretta (Krieg) Beck, on July 8, 2006; daughter, Karyn Beck; son, Edward "Lee" Beck; and brother, Ansel Beck; and half brother, Halden Beck.

Funeral Service is 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road with calling two hour prior.  Officiating will be Pastor Christina Ryan~Perkins.  He will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens with military honors.  Preferred memorials are to NE Ind. Cancer Services.
