Vernon "Joe" Amos Adams 86, Born June 20, 1923 in Indianapolis, IN passed away May 6, 2010 at Parkview Hospital, Ft. Wayne, IN. He worked for 7up Bottling, Double Cola, and retired from Coca-Cola bottling in 1990. He was a Army WWII veteran with the 147th Combat Engineers taking part in the invasion of Omaha Beach. Surviving are his daughter, Donna (Marshall) Brinkman, Hoagland, IN granddaughters, Josette McPike (Jon) Schlegel, Lighthouse Pt., FL., Kasey Delucenay, Ft. Wayne, IN, Michelle (Justin) Peters, Stuart, FL, Great-grandchildren, Conrad Schlegel, Haylie, Blake, Caleb Delucenay, and Domenick Peters. He is preceded in death by his wife Charlene Edith (Baggs) Adams, son, David Michael Adams. Services are 5 p.m. Sunday at Covington Memorial Funeral Home calling 2-6 p.m. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Greenwood, IN.
