Violet O. Young, 89, went to be with her Lord, Sunday November 10, 2013. She was born October 28, 1924 in Plymoth, Iowa to the late Clinton and Lila Morford. Violet worked at Lincoln Life as a Claims Agent. She was a member of the Anthony Wayne First Church of God and an avid bowler.

Surviving are her daughter-in-law, Yonda Young, grandchildren, Brandi (Mark) Genteline, Tracy Young and Dustin Young, great-grandchild, Grace Genteline. She was preceded in death by her husband Norman in January 1997 and her son Larry Young January 2012.

Service will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with calling 1 hour prior to service. There is also calling 1:30 until 6:30 p.m. Wednesday November 13, 2013. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens. Preferred memorial are to Anthony Wayne First Church of God.
