Violet Virginia (Dishong) Pflieger, 96 passed away Saturday, August 11, 2018.  She was born June 14, 1922 in Wells County, Indiana to the late Forrest and Emma (Conrad) Dishong.  On May 8, 1955 Violet married Donald Pflieger.  They lived North of Huntington for 41 years and Waynedale for 2 years.  Violet worked at Wayne pump and Fort Wayne Candy Co. and the retired from E-Systems Memcor Div. in Huntington from 1965 - 1984

Surviving are her children, Roy (Karen) Dishong, Regeanna (Larry) Lahr, 4 grandchildren, Angie (Jon) Rice, Adam (Emily) Lahr, Jennifer (Jason) McCoy, Heather (Jason) Wohlford, 7  great-grandchildren, Josh Rice, Zach Rice, Eliza Wohlford, Aiden Wohlford, Ashton McCoy, Keira McCoy and Sam Lahr along with her sister Dorothy Howe.  Violet was preceded in death by her husband Donald R. Pflieger on June 19, 1997 and 3 siblings, Phyllis Scott, Earl Dishong and Donald Dishong.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 17, 2018 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with viewing 1 hour prior to service.  There is also calling Thursday, August 16 at the funeral home from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.  Entombment will be in Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  Preferred memorials are to the Alzheimer's Association.   www.covingtonmemorial.com
