Violet Cecilia Thomas, 80, passed peacefully Friday, December 14, 2018.  Born in Abingdon, Virginia, she was a daughter to the late, Rufus James and Bertha (Peoples) James.  She was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church.

Violet is survived by her sons, Bryan (Sharon) Thomas of Augusta, Georgia, Kevin Thomas and Darrin Thomas both of Kokomo, Indiana; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Violet was preceded in death by her first husband, Willie Lee Thomas; and her second husband, Thomas Roach.

Violet was the last of her siblings, she is preceded in death by siblings, Margaret, Frances, Nina, Lois, Sam, Hubert, Charlie, Kenwood, Thomas and Arthur.

There were private services held for the family for Violet.
