Virginia "Ginnie" I. Shelton, 92 of Fort Wayne passed away Sunday, December 28, 2025, at Stillwater Hospice in Fort Wayne. She was born on April 6, 1933, in Saegertown, Pennsylvania to Ernest and Ruby Snyder.

Ginnie enjoyed cleaning and loved having a clean house. She loved red and enjoyed going to garage sales, watching her favorite show, Three's Company, and dancing.  Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her children. Teddy, one of her beloved dogs, was her beloved companion.

She is survived by her children, Linda (Floyd) Marcum, Robbin Bowser, Ruby Shelton, Virginia Burgo, Ray Shelton and Cletis Shelton and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Frank and four children, Frank, Lonnie, Keith and Alta Carter.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 8, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, Fort Wayne. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with burial following at Covington Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to The American Heart Association.
