My Eyes Are Open Brightly

David Langston

My eyes are open brightly

Although I cannot see

What is in this world

The Lord has given to me.

I'm living in this world

That no one else can see.

My eyes are open brightly

And the Lord's light is all I see,

As I'm in His presence

I know He is the one carrying me

Although I cannot see.

My eyes are open brightly

Into a world no one else can see

I'm forever in His glory

And forever with Him I will always be.

My eyes are open brightly

Although I cannot see

What is in this world

The Lord has given to me.

I'm living in this world

That no one else can see.

Although my eyes are closed

And the Lord's light is with me

For His light is how I see.

My eyes are open brightly

Into the Lord's world

That is not just for me.

My eyes are open brightly

For heaven is all

That the Lord has promised it to be:

My eyes are open brightly.

God Gave You a Mother to Give You Life

David Langston

God gave you a mother to give you life

When you lose her you don't know what to do.

So when you're feeling down and out

And you feel you want to cry

Just kneel and pray,

Look to heaven and talk to God,

He will explain the reason why

Your mother had to say goodbye.

I took her to My heavenly place

For while you're still here here on earth

When you close your eyes you will still remember her

And know you were the reason why
I chose her to be your mother to give you life.

For she is here with Me

To look over you from heaven above;

I have given her wings.

So when you close your eyes and start to cry

She will still be there with you

To look over you from time to time

And dry your tears when you think

Of her until I give you wings

So you can fly by her side for eternity

God gave you a mother to give you life.
