Vivian M. (Meyers) Andress, 93, of Fort Wayne passed away peacefully May 26.  She was born August 4, 1928 in Fort Wayne to the late Paul and Clara Meyers.

Vivian married her love, Rodney Andress, on Feb. 8, 1952 and together they raised 3 children.  She was with him when he passed on April 15, 1990.  Vivian was a feisty lady who was not afraid to tell it how it is.  She was a long time member of the Arcola United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed playing BINGO, any kind of card game, and was fiercely competitive when playing Chinese Checkers.  Vivian was an excellent cook who made the best pies (especially the crusts!).  She was a simple country girl who loved her family dearly.  She will be greatly missed at her beloved family gatherings.

Vivian will be forever remembered by her children, Linda (Mark) Alexander, Daniel Andress, and Carol (Ralph) Laramie; 7 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and 9 step-great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren, and 6 step-great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Vivian was preceded in passing by 2 brothers; a step-grandson; and 3 great grandchildren.

Family will receive friends Friday, June 3 from 10-11 a.m. at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, Fort Wayne; with service to follow at 11:00am; Pastor Harold Klinker to officiate.
