W. Jean Stage, 85, died Thursday October 11, 2012 at her home. She was born January 15, 1927 in Fort Wayne, IN to the late August and Edna (Smeader) Herbst. Jean was a secretary at Magnavox Corp for 40 years. She was a member of St. John''s Evangelical Lutheran Church. Surviving is a brother, Darwyn (Connie) Herbst, nephews and nieces, Bob (Joy) Olry, Nancy (Bob) Loftus, Diane (Bobby) Kratzert, Cheryl (Kenny) Gephart along with nephews and nieces, Julie, Jill, Scott, Todd, Mark and Chris, brother-in-law, Howard (Dorothy) Olry, sister-in-law, Marjorie Herbst. She was preceded in death by 1 brother, Charles Herbst, sisters, Nila Olry, Donna Herbst and loving companion of 27 years, Max Eggman. Service is 12:00 p.m. Monday October 15, 2012 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with calling from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Pastor Paul Offhaus officiating. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Preferred Memorials to; Cancer Services of N.E. Indiana or St. John''s Evangelical Lutheran Church.
