Waine L. Phillips, Sr., 84, of Fort Wayne, passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2025, surrounded by family. He was born on October 31, 1941, in Butler, Pennsylvania, to Frank and Gladys (Cathcart) Phillips.

Waine was a hardworking man who retired from Stone Street Quarry. He enjoyed fishing, truck and tractor pulls, auto racing, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his children, Waine Jr. (Stevana) Phillips, Dan (Cindy) Phillips, Mike Phillips, and Cheryl Blackman; daughter-in-law, Michelle Phillips; stepchildren, Jason Sylvester, Misty (Jim) Purkey, and Elizabeth (Mario) Young; thirteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; 9 step grandchildren and 4 great step grandchildren; a brother, Robert (Loretta) Phillips; and a sister, Janice (Tom) Boyle. He was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Bertha (Smith) Phillips and Cynthia (Strahm) Phillips; son, Jeff Phillips; grandson's Michael and Mourey and brothers, Dennis and Frank.

Visitation will be held Monday, November 17, 2025, from 3:00–7:00 p.m. at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana, and again on Tuesday from 10:00–11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m.
