Washington L. Smith Jr., died January 22, 2014 at his home. He was born July 16, 1939 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Washington and Maggie Smith Sr. Washington worked at Meyers Plastic as a foreman for 17 years.

Surviving are his wife Rosa Smith, children, Anglaique Smith, Barbara (Michael) England, Lorenzia (Christine) Smith, Darryll (Sabrina) Smith, Beverly (Eddie Curry) Mitchell,
Shaundia Smith and sister, Gladys Webb, 20 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother.

Service will be 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with calling from 3:00 p.m. until service time. His daughter Pastor Barbara G. England officiating. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens. Preferred memorials to the family.
