Wayne O. Glad, 75, died Tuesday, August 1, 2006 in Fort Wayne. Born March 28, 1931 in Lancaster, MN, he was a US Army veteran and had retired as a driver for Summit Coach and Homestead High School, having enjoyed a variety of occupational interests throughout his life. A member of the American Legion Post 499, he enjoyed golf and was an avid St. Francis Cougar Tailgater, and was especially proud of his grandsons that played college football. He is survived by his daughters, Roxanne (Jerry) Durham of Tipton, IN and Margo S. (Martin) Schott of Alexandria, IN; son, Randy (Michela) Glad of Fort Wayne; longtime friend & companion, Jo Ann Ort of New Haven; grandchildren, Shad Durham, Brett Durham, Trent Schott, Lacey Schott, Drake Glad, Jack Glad, Sara Glad, Trevor Glad and great-granddaughter, Haylee Schott. Funeral Services 3:00PM Friday, August 4, 2006 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Rd. Friends may call Friday 1-3PM. Entombment in Covington Memorial Gardens. The family's preferred memorial is the American Legion, Post 499.
