Wayve Schmidt (Davis) Schmidt's Obituary
Wayve Aurilla Schmidt, 101, died Monday, October 31, 2016 at her home. She was born February 28, 1915, in Omaha, Illinois, only daughter to the late James and Dorothy (Hayes) Davis. She was married August 11, 1939 to the late Anton E. Schmidt. Wayve was a member of Peace United Church of Christ.
She is survived by sons, James M. Schmidt of Longmont, Colorado and Anton Matthew (Kathy Stark) Schmidt of Fort Wayne; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Trudy.
Private graveside services were held. She was laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens, 8408 Covington Road. Preferred memorials are to the church.
