Storry
November 5, 1943 – August 1, 2025
W.C. Storry, of Bowling Green, Kentucky and a native of Hale County-Akron, Alabama, entered into rest on, August 1, 2025, at the age of 81 years, 8 months, and 27 days. W.C. was the 15th of 16 children born to the late Washington "Wash" Story and Annie Bell Williams Story.
W.C. was of the Baptist faith and graduated from Akron Public High School. He attended Painting Allied Trade Union where he received his Certificate of Completion of Apprenticeship as a Painter. As an entrepreneur W.C. operated Storry Decorating. In later years he worked for TAG Coating, Inc. and retired after 34 years of service. On July 17, 1977, W.C. received his Certificate of License to the Gospel Ministry, by The Antioch Baptist Church, Fort Wayne, IN. W.C. loved playing golf, while in his early years he played baseball and continued to watch baseball on television, he was also an avid Alabama football fan "Roll Tide" . W.C. served as a former President of the Grand Aerie Fraternal Order of Eagles #248.
W.C. leaves his life's legacy with his children, Curtis McCoy, Willie Storey, Stafford Storey, Jeremiah (Sasha) Storey, Nicole Clement, W.C. (Belinda)Storry, Jr., Lenora Devreax, Vanessa (Kerry) Collins, Cynthia Bright, and Robert "Bobby" (Cathy) Bright; a host of grandchildren, great grand-children, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Along with his parents W.C. was preceded in death by his children, Marian Annette "Nett" Storey, and Darnell Tinker; and his sisters and brothers.
