William K. "Bill" Jones, 96, died Monday May 26, 2014 at his home. Bill was born March 20, 1918 in Adams County, Ohio to the late William A. and Mattie (Moore) Jones. He drove truck for 60 years and retired in 1980 as a driver for National Tank Truck Lines.

Surviving are his wife A. Irene Jones, children, Wayne, (Sharon) Jones, Donna (Andy) Colvin, Barbara Deskins, Peggy Jarvis, Donald (Sharon T.) Jones, Russell Noble, John (Sandy) Noble, Bob (Tina) Noble, George (Dawn) Noble, Frank Noble, Shelba Hastreiter, Karen (Eric) Heinkel, 49 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by 3 daughters, Linda and Mary Ellen Jones and Patricia Reay and 8 siblings.

Service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday May 30, 2014 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with calling 1 hour prior to service. There will also be calling Thursday May 29, 2014 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Preferred Memorials are to Cancer Services of N.E. Indiana.
