William "Bill" Oscar Thomas, 78, of New Haven, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2011 at Parkview Hospital. Born in McNary, Kentucky, he was the son to the late Abner and Emma (Duncan) Thomas. He retired from Navistar after 26 years of service in 1993. He was a member of the Eagles and Moose in New Haven.
He is survived by his son, Lawrence (Mary Lou) of Pierceton; daughter, Kathy (John) Dublin of Wingate, North Carolina; significant other, of over 26 years, Sharon Patterson of New Haven; brothers, Robert and Dewey Thomas; sisters, Pat, Janice, Shirley and Violet; 5 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Sue Williams; and two brothers, T.J. and Jr. Thomas.
Funeral Service is 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior. Pastor Robert Thomas will be officiating. Calling is also 2 to 6 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens.
