William Martin Nierman, 79, of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away December 1, 2025, Born October 12, 1946, he honorably served in the U.S. Marine Corps, completing studies in Tactics of Marine Rifle-MCI, and was proud to be a Vietnam Veteran. He later dedicated his career to public service with the U.S. Post Office and the Sheriff's Office.

William enjoyed golfing, softball, fishing, yard work, and motorcycle rides.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; brother Robert (Pat); sister Sandy Heins; son Brian; daughters Tina Graham (Wade) and Gina Woods; grandchildren Eric (Krystal), Courtney Stahl (Zeb), Madison Kortenber, Monica Nierman, Christa Lichtsinn (Chelsea), Mariana Nierman, Dawson Graham (Allie), and Morgan de Wit (Martin); and great-grandchildren Isabella Massay, Alaska, Raider, Reign, Vega Nierman, Charlotte, Wyatt, Chloe Stahl, Lincoln and Kennedy Kortenber, Harlow and Hollin de Wit. He was preceded in death by his parents, Iva and Robert Nierman.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring at American Legion Post 47. Details will be forthcoming.
