William Forrest Schrumpf, 91, passed away, May 21, 2014 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where he resided for 4 years. Born July 26, 1922, in Slatington, Pennsylvania, he was the only child of Arthur Thomas Schrumpf and Mildred Helen Krietz. He graduated from Slatington High School. During WWII he served honorably in the 180-45 infantry Division. He was stationed in Africa, the Middle East & Europe. He was wounded near Rome Italy and awarded the Purple Heart with 6 Bronze Stars. After discharge from the Army he was employed by Lehigh Portland Cement in Allentown, Pennsylvania, as a Records Manager. During his years in Pennsylvania he served as Past President of Delaware Valley Chapter ARMA in Allentown and Past Master of Jordan Lodge 673 and a member of American Legion Post 16.

In 1979 he moved to Miami, Florida where he worked as a Deputy Clerk in the Civil Circuit Court in Dade County. He served as President and Secretary in the Past Masters Unit of Mahi Shrine Temple & Financial Secretary of the Hollywood Shrine. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Hollywood, Florida and Hollywood West Elks. He also lived in Indianapolis, Indiana for a few years before his final move to Fort Wayne, Indiana in 2010.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris Mae King; second wife, Frances Ann King; and stepson, Curtis King.

He leaves behind two stepchildren, Patricia (Howard Johnson) DiEgidio of Stuart, Florida and Emil A. "Tony" (Diane) King of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and a foster child, Owen Mangold of Emmaus, Pennsylvania.

Interment at Arlington National Cemetery with military honors at a later date.
