William (Bill) Smith, 88, passed away on July 25, 2024. He was born on January 19, 1936, in Leipsic, Ohio, a son of the late James and Helen Smith.

He is survived by his wife Connie (Albertson) Smith; daughter, Patricia (Phillip) Esslinger of Churubusco; son, Kenneth (Deb-Anne) Smith of Fort Wayne; daughter, Tammy Malone (Quintin Fanning) of Laotto; daughter, Shelly (Brandon) Jarvis of Fort Wayne; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death his parents; three sisters; three brothers; and son-in-law, Jerry Malone.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 with calling one hour prior at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Rd., Ft. Wayne, IN 46804.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, also at the funeral home.

Burial will take place in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne, IN.
