William Clyde Willis, Jr., 72, of Fort Wayne, died Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Lutheran Hospital. The Army veteran was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, he was the son of the late William Clyde Willis, Sr., and Doris Carolyn (Biggerstaff) Willis. He was a member at Faith Bible Missionary Church. During his younger years he started out with his father in carpentry and then went into the trucking industry.

He is survived by his wife, Susan A. Willis, of 27 years; his children, Bill (Melody) Willis of Angola, Walter (Stephanie) Willis of Defiance and Doris Willis of Angola; step children, Michael Wenzel of Fort Wayne, William (Susan) Wenzel of California and Candice Wenzel of Erie, Pennsylvania; 21 grandchildren; and one great grandson.

He was preceded in death by a sister at birth, Doris Carolyn Willis.

Funeral Service is 11 a.m., Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covignton Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling is also 3-8 p.m., Friday, October 18, 2013 at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorials are to the church.
