William Dale Wismer, 95, died Friday, March 11, 2016. Born in Toledo, son of the late William and Clarisa Wismer. He was an Army Air Corp veteran. Bill was the owner of Wismer Construction Company from 1950 to 1980. He developed Deerfield Estates on Illinois Road. He was vice president and president of the Allen County Home Builders Association in the 60s and was the Head Residential Inspector for Allen County Building Dept from 1980 to 1996. He was president of Fort Wayne Optimist Club and a Lions Club member. Bill was an elder with the Community of Christ Church; his life was devoted to serving the Lord.

He is survived by his wife of 75 years, Katherine "Kitty" Wismer; six children, Mike (Deb), Rich (Cindi), Don (Mimi), Jerry (Brenda) Wismer, Vicky King and Kathy (Richard) Miller; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; two sisters, Lorraine and Leona; brother, Tom.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Art and Nelson.

Funeral Service is 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling is 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at the funeral home. He will be entombed at Covington Memorial Gardens. Preferred memorials are to Visiting Nurse or Community of Christ Church.
