Winifred Mariam Ball, 95, of Fort Wayne, died peacefully on Monday, September 10, 2012 at Canterbury Nursing & Rehab. Born in Albany, Indiana, she was the daughter to the late Otto and Pearl Wood. She had worked for Dunkirk Glass Factory. She was a wonderful homemaker and mother that opened up her home and ran childcare over ten years.
She is survived by her daughters and sons in law, Linda and John Drummond of Decatur and Susan and John Diver of Fort Wayne; seven grandchildren, Richard Stone, Jeffery Diver, Rachel Diver, Steven Niemeyer, Paul Gruenfeldt, Vicki Bell and Karen Odom; seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Charles E. Ball, in 1974; daughter, Barbara Gruenfeldt, in 1991; and brother, Harold Wood, in 1987.
Private services were held. She was laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens.
