Rev. W.W. Tolbert Jr., 91, of Ft. Wayne, passed away on September 1, 2024.

He was born on June 2, 1933, in Arkansas, a son of the late W.W. Tolbert Sr. and Willie Tolbert.

W.W. served as a pastor at New Jerusalem Church for 35 years. He was married to Lilla Tolbert and moved to Ft. Wayne, where they started their ministry together in the early 1970's, and spent 47 years of marriage together. He also worked for North American Van Lines for 18 years and served in the U.S. Army.

W.W. and Lilla adopted their sons, Will and Timothy. His sons and their family members will remember him fondly.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept 12, 2024 with calling 1 hour prior at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Rd., Ft. Wayne, IN 46804.

Burial will take place immediately following the funeral service in Covington Memorial Gardens, Ft. Wayne, IN.
